What is Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) ?

Introduction of Bombay Stock Exchange :-


Bombay Stock exchange is stock exchange are stock market in India. It is the oldest stock exchange in India as well as Asia. Bombay Stock exchange was established in 1875 as a voluntary non profit making organisation at Mumbai. 

Features of Bombay Stock Exchange :-

Management of Bombay Stock Exchange :- 


A governing board comprising of 9 selected director (one third to retire every year by rotation) an executive director three government nominees, a Reserve Bank of India nominee and five public nominees regulate the working of the exchange.


Working of Bombay Stock Exchange :- 


The members of the stock exchange can trade in the exchange. The member can trade on the behalf of outsiders. If members trades on his own account then transactions can be only among stock exchange members. The shares of listed companies only can be traded at the exchange.
